For me, creating is a very organic process. Very much like writers who say that their characters end up “telling their own stories,” the artist starts with an idea but the complete work virtually never is what you originally imagined. The good news is — if you trust the process and follow wherever it leads, magical things can happen, and that helps us all see the world in fresh and interesting ways.
